Over the mountains by e-bike

At present, the Lungau region profiles itself as the “highest e-bike region in Austria”. The pedelecs can be rented. Although they are powered by muscle power, an electric motor provides powerful support when things are a bit uphill or the headwind is too strong. A network of charging stations at altitudes of up to 2000 meters allows you to “refuel” at any time.

Cyclists, e-bikers and mountain bikers can refresh themselves in numerous guest gardens and alpine huts, and indulge themselves with culinary delights from the Lungau Region of Delight.

Dreambike & repairs

Guests can bring their own bike or rent the bike of their choice. You will find a qualified dealer with workshop and top-quality maps (special rates for Wastlwirt guests) directly at the Wastlwirt. If you want to save yourself long journeys to and from the Wastlwirt, the Murtalbahn, the post buses, the Österreichische Bundesbahn (ÖBB) and partly also the valley buses will transport your bicycle, mountain bike or e-bike.

In the Hotel Wastlwirt****, guests will find a safe place to store their bikes as well as various professional tools. We will also be pleased to arrange a workshop appointment for you at short notice.
